Bourbon Vanilla Cranberry Cocktail

Ingredients
  

For the Cranberry Sauce

  • 1 12-14 oz. Bag Fresh Cranberries
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Bourbon
  • 2 Tbsp Vanilla
  • 1 Cup Water

For the Cocktail

  • 1 Tbsp Cranberry Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 tsp Bourbon
  • 4-5 oz Prosecco

Instructions
 

Cranberry Sauce

  • Combine all ingredients in a pot on the stove. Bring to a boil then reduce to a summer and cook for 10-15 min until all of the cranberries have popped and formed a beautiful mush. The sauce will thicken as it cools

"Leftover" Cocktail

  • Place 1 Tbsp of Cranberry sauce in the bottom of a glass, add a splash of vanilla extract and bourbon and top with 4-5 ounces of your favorite prosecco! You can Garnish with rosemary or thyme, or just leave it plain!
    NOTE: You can use this with the canned cranberry sauce as well, simply double the vanilla and bourbon :)
