One of the best tools to go with your KitchenAid Mixer (which we’ll be talking about in our Favorite Small Appliances post) is a bowl scraping beater blade. These are so nice because it removes the need to scrape down the sides of your bowl. This one fits most 5qt mixers, but this listing also has scraping beater blades for 4.5, 6, and 7 quart mixers. When someone I know gets their first KitchenAid, this is the tool I buy them!

While a KitchenAid is a fantastic tool, sometimes it’s just a little over kill! Not to mention it’s a bit pricey. So if you’re looking for something that can do a similar job for a fraction of the cost, a hand mixer is a great option. Jenna has this one and loves it for smaller jobs. With it’s handy storage case and multiple attachments, it’s great for whipping up something tasty.

We are both huge fans of cookie scoops! These make placing dough on cookie sheets way easier. They can also be used for other purposes. The large size if great for scooping cupcake or muffin batter into cupcake liners. It’s just the right amount, every time. This set comes in three different sizes, all of which are handy!

As a family, we love pastries, like pie, but we also love guacamole! This is a tool that can help with both. Technically it is a pastry cutter, but it also makes for a great avocado masher. The big soft grippy handle makes it easy to cut butter into your pastry dough, and the wide bottom really gets to work on those avocados. I’ve also been using it lately to cut up eggs for egg salad. I slice the egg in half, remove the yolk and then lay the egg flat side down and push the pastry cutter down over it, then turn the pastry cutter 90 degrees and push down again. Perfectly cut up eggs with less cutting time!

A good spatula is always a must when baking. We love these spatulas because they are a single solid piece. Nothing is falling apart and there is nowhere for liquid to get into a crevice and have the potential to be germy. These are also heat resistant so they can be used for more than just scraping bowls and mixing.

These Russian Tip cake decorating tips are super fun and make the most beautiful designs on your cakes and cupcakes. We have a very similar set to this which was used on some of the cakes and cupcakes in our posts “Did someone say frosting?” and “Cake. Nuff said.”

We’ll be updating this post in the future to add on more fun things as we think of them!
Love seeing those frosting decorating tips, so much nicer than most. I can see now way those cupcakes were so professional looking
